The ETCSS Committee will present the Sixth Annual East Tennessee CyberSecurity Summit October 19th and 20th at the downtown Hilton in Knoxville.
The theme for this year’s conference is “On the Brink of Disaster…Is the Sky Really Falling?” This year the schedule includes: David Keith, film actor and passionate volunteer for PROTECT; Bill Dean, Director of Computer Forensics with Sword and Shield, who always shares timely and useful information regarding CyberSecurity; and Ron Ross, returning to us from NIST to share his expertise in Risk Management. New elements this year include:
· Four breakout sessions, two each day (with limited seating – 50 each session)
· A “moot court” exercise where a forensic examiner will testify about a fictional case. The prosecuting attorney will be Attorney Craig Ball who is specially trained in the field of computer forensics. This session will highlight issues typically faced by forensic experts on the witness stand, and give the audience (the jury) an appreciation of just how detailed, tedious, and all-around difficult the presentation of technical data can be.
· A Meet & Greet Reception held Tuesday evening. This is a chance to relax and meet with the speakers, vendors, and your colleagues.
To register for the event and the breakout sessions please visit the conference web site at www.etcss.org
